Just to let you know my Branch Pres. has requested me to email today, so I’m not breaking any rules (:
Grandma emailed and told me how funny she thought that was. And yeah I read her my essay on why cheerleading is not a sport. She couldn’t believe that I wrote it.
It’s kind of sad leaving some friendships behind here at the MTC. But I am soooo excited and ready to leave and get to Federal Way. I’m just ready to start working instead of sitting in a classroom. The MTC had been great, and I have learned lots. Now I’m ready to apply what I have learned and use it I’m the field.
And just remember to be expecting a call tomorrow sometime before 11:20. Love you and can’t wait to hear from you.
From Sister Rasmussen
We were so happy to welcome Elder Richards to Washington yesterday. We were thrilled to receive this wonderful group of sixteen missionaries! We had a great day with lunch, interviews and some training. They bring the fire of the MTC with them and we all catch it. We look forward to watching your missionary stretch and grow and succeed! Bishop Waddell told us in mission president seminar that we have that birds eye view that every parent wish they could have to watch the growth of their missionary. We are truly blessed to be here and serve with these dedicated elders and sisters. We are looking forward to getting to know him better as he serves the Lord in this beautiful part of the vineyard.
He has been assigned to work with Elder Cox in the Hylebos Ward in Federal Way. You will hear from him on Monday which is our P-day. Also, we have a mission blog at WFWMissionldscurrent.blogspot. com that will keep you a little more connected to what is happening here.
The church is strong in this area and we love seeing the hand of the Lord in His work here. Your family will be blessed as he teaches the Doctrine of Christ and brings salvation to those who live here. We know he will be a great asset to our mission.
I just wanted to make your day,
Sister Rasmussen
You've got to love when your best friend finds your son at the airport as they are flying home from Disneyland. Tender mercy for this mom :)
